Fisiocrem
Fisiocrem is the effective massage solution to care for the muscles and ligaments following discomfort related to everyday life or strenuous physical activity.
Suitable to use for muscular and ligament bumps, bruises, aches and pains. When gently rubbed into the affected area Fisiocrem provides a rapid and soothing massage solution to common muscular discomfort. It contains Arnica, Calendula, Hypericum and Melaleuca.
The Lavender Touch
Since 2003 The Lavender Touch, a Borders based charity, has been providing complementary therapies for cancer patients living in the Borders area. Patients are referred for treatments through the Borders MacMillan Centre or any healthcare professional. Treatments are given in the home, the BGH, Community Hospitals or at local health centres.
Treatments do not cure cancer but can help with many of the symptoms such as insomnia, muscle aches and pains, lethargy, nausea and anxiety, amongst others. The treatments can help at every stage of the illness. The treatments may involve reflexology, different types of massage or Aromatherapy. All therapists are required to have a Diploma in Massage Therapy or equivalent degree and be registered with a recognized governing body. Some therapists have additional qualifications in Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Indian Head Massage.
The service has become for many, an essential addition to coping with an illness we all hear about every day. The Lavender Touch therapies have also become a comfort to many who are receiving palliative care. 99% of cancer patients receiving the treatments have said they found them of benefit.
They do not provide an essential service, but one that has proved extremely beneficial in helping to cope with, recover from and live with cancer.
It is comprised of a small committee and a few co-opted members, who continue each year to fundraise and keep The Lavender Touch going.
The range of products have been developed by professional Aromatherapists with over 15 years’ experience in working with cancer patients and the general public.
All proceeds from sales go directly to the Lavender Touch.
